The American Madison Keys had previously celebrated her first tournament victory in over two years at another preparatory event for the Australian Open (live on Eurosport from January 17).
The former top ten player and 2017 US Open finalist easily defeated her compatriot Alison Riske 6-1, 6-2 in the Adelaide final.
It was the seventh title for the 26-year-old Keys and her first since Cincinnati in August 2019.
