Kurucs and Bērziņš help their teams win the ULEB Eurocup matches

Latvian basketball players Rodions Kurucs and Kaspars Bērziņš scored eight and seven points in the ULEB Euroccup games, respectively, on Tuesday. Kuruz’s “Partizan” in Belgrade beat Hamburg’s “Towers” with a score of 102:77 (34:14, 31:27, 20:12, 17:24).

The Latvian basketball player spent 14 minutes and 11 seconds on the court, during which time he realized one of the two two-point shots and both two long shots. He also had six rebounds, one assists, one error, two interceptions, one blocked throw, two notes and 12 efficiency points. Matthias Lesorts stood out with 22 points, six rebounds and five interceptions.

Meanwhile, the Panevėžys “Lietkabelis” represented by Bērziņš won the Wrocław “Šlask” represented by Mārtiņš Meiers with the result 88:65 (29:19, 21:19, 17: 9, 21:18). In 13 minutes and 19 seconds, Bērziņš broadcast two of the three two-point shots and one of the three “thirds” in the basket. He also fought five rebounds, made one assertion, made three errors, scored five remarks, provoked two violations and scored three efficiency points. Meier, on the other hand, sent one of three three-point shots to the basket in 16 minutes and 15 seconds, won three rebounds, made two mistakes, violated the rules once, provoked one remark and reached one efficiency point.

In another game, Krišs Helmanis was not in the Badalona “Joventut” application, with the Spanish club at home winning Trento’s “Dolomiti Energia” with a score of 83:65 (24:11, 19:13, 13:24, 26:17). In Group A, the Joventut and Partizan teams have eight wins in ten games, giving the first two places, Lietkabelis is sixth in five battles and Šlask is ninth in nine duels.

There are 20 teams participating in the Eurocupus, divided into two groups, where the teams will play two games with each unit. After 18 games, the top eight teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs. Last season, the championship title was won by the Monaco team, beating the Kazan team “Unics” in two games.
