Love story at the Dakar Rally. The motorcyclist asked for his racing love at the finish line

This year’s Dakar Rally did not only offer battles for seconds and position in the final position. At the very end, one love story also came to an end.

Sara Garcia and Javi Vega from Spain are united by a love of adventure and motorcycles. That is why they both appeared on the starting list of the Dakar Rally for the third time this year, and they also entered the category without mechanics together under the name Original by Motul.

Garcia defeated her friend for the second time in a row. Pont Grup Yamaha was 44th in the final, and Vega finished three places behind her. The Spaniard was also the second best woman.

But 33-year-old Sara would definitely exchange all the trophies for a touching moment from the end of Dakar. Her friend totally surprised her on the finish stage. Vega suddenly knelt in front of the racer and pulled a small box from his pocket. A ring gleamed inside her, followed by the obligatory question, “Will you marry me?”

Touched, Garcia caught her breath for a moment, but then she hugged her love for a long time. Everything was sealed by a ring on the future bride’s hand and an engagement kiss.
