Luke Trevor Hughes, born August 19, 1984 at Perth (Australia) is an Australian baseball player who plays in Major League Baseball with the Oakland Athletics. Australian international, he started in the major leagues on April 28, 2010 with the Minnesota Twins.
Career
Hugues played in the Australian International Baseball League in 2001-2002. He performed well and was promoted by the Minnesota Twins organization. He spent six seasons in minor leagues before making his major league debut on April 28, 2010[[1]. He succeeds in Homer during his first stay in Major[[2].
He played 96 games with Minnesota in 2011, alternating between first and second goals and also occasionally playing third pockets. Her batting average is .223 for the year with 7 circles and 30 product points.
With the Australian national team, he participated in the first two editions of the World Baseball Classic (2006 and 2009) and the last three editions of the World Championship (2005, 2007 and 2009).
After the start of the 2012 season under the Minnesota Twins, it will be claimed by waiver until Oakland Athletics the April 22nd[[3].
