Premier League – Manchester City's turnover for the first time higher than Manchester United's”>Manchester United is facing stiff competition in the hunt for a position in the top four of the Premier League standings. MU is wary of several teams, not just the two North London teams.

MU beat one of its competitors in the race for the top four in the Premier League last weekend. The Red Devils won 1-0 over West Ham United thanks to Marcus Rashford‘s goal in injury time in the match at Old Trafford, Saturday (22/1/2022).

The victory brought Manchester United through to the top four of the Premier League. David de Gea et al displace West Ham by placing fourth in the Premier League standings after collecting 38 points from 22 matches.

West Ham itself dropped to fifth position with 37 points. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur followed in a row with 36 points after both failed to reach full points.

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick said Manchester United’s competitors were not just Arsenal and Tottenham. Rangnick is also wary of Wolverhampton Wanderers who are eighth with 34 points.

“There are other teams involved in the hunt, not just Spurs or Arsenal,” Rangnick said ESPN.

“Even Wolves are chasing so maybe this rivalry will last until the last games, but for us now the important thing is knowing that we can win even if it is in the last seconds of the game.”

“It’s important that we are able to compete with those teams and win games and not only against teams from the bottom half but also teams like West Ham.”
