Mechelen plans to skip OHL despite Pro League refusal to postpone match

The Pro League has in fact refused his request for a postponement, but the Malinois clubs consider themselves in their right on the basis of the new protocol of the Pro League in matters of coronavirus.

This provides that a meeting can be postponed if at least seven players, who have at least 30% of playing time, or if two goalkeepers from Core A test positive.

Mechelen informs among the players positive for the coronavirus Gaëtan Coucke, its titular goalkeeper, and Maxime Wenssens, its hopeful goalkeeper, who is part of its core A. The Pro League would consider that Wenssens, 21, does not enter online count for the two-keeper rule. For Mechelen, age should not be the criterion.
