Medvedev faces the chair umpire after accusing Tsitsipas of talking to his coach

The Russian, who has just provoked the public with his pro-Djokovic speech, lost his temper after giving up the second set against the Greek

Medvedev has messed it up again in Australia. The Russian, not content with provoking the crowd with his pro-Djokovic speech last Wednesday, today faced the chair umpire after accusing his rival, the Greek Tstsipas, of talking to his coach.

Everything has happened at the end of the second set. Tsitsipas won and leveled the match while the Russian exploded at his rival’s delay in putting the serve into play. Medvedev demanded that the judge admonish him, but he ignored the player’s complaints. Then Medvedev snapped and asked for a penalty because Tsitsipas was talking to his coach. With his arms raised and yelling at the judge, he grabbed his backpack and went to the locker room. Minutes later, calmer now, he returned to the track.

“His father is talking every point. Why can each point speak? You are an idiot? Look at me, I’m talking to you! How can you be so bad and be refereeing a Grand Slam semi-final?” the Russian shouted to the referee.

On Wednesday, after his victory in the quarterfinals, with microphone in hand, Medvedev set the stands on fire with a clear and intentional speech about who inspired him to bring about his great comeback: “I don’t know if people will like the response, but I told myself what Novak (Djokovic) would do and how he would deal with that situation.
