MORELIA, Mich., January 19, 2022.- With the registration of 20 racket players, who are looking for a place within the Michoacán delegation to represent the state in the badminton/” title=”Morelenses get ready for national Badminton”>Conade 2022 National Games, this Wednesday began the state selection of children’s badminton, youth and open for men and women, on the floor of the Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros auditorium, of the State Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Cecufid).
As a selective process towards the greatest amateur sports festival in our country, the badminton discipline, through the Cecufid Sports Development Center (CDD), started activities with the aim of achieving its first medals in its history, in the Conade contest.
Starting this Wednesday, January 19 and until Thursday, January 20, the 20 athletes from the state capital will seek to reach the top places in the singles, doubles and mixed modalities, in the qualifying categories: under-15 13-14 years (2009–2008); under-17 15–16 years old (2007–2006) and under-19 17–18 years old (2005–2004).
Among the strong letters that are present, the names of Karen Barrera stand out; Uziel Barrera, Fabio Mora and our first representative of this sport in the National Games in the 2019 edition, Sharon Serrano.
As an objective of this discipline in Michoacán, it is intended to form a selection of 16 elements, who must attend the National of the specialty to be held in Aguascalientes, from March 3 to 6.
Likewise, this team will have the mission of qualifying in Guadalajara, Jalisco (from February 3 to 6) and Temixco, Morelos (from February 10 to 12), to the 2022 Children’s and Youth Pan American Games, with verification in the Dominican Republic in the month of July.
