Millau. A championship crowned with medals for SOM Judo

Cn the weekend, the cadets and minors of SOM Judo took to the road to join Réalmont (81) in order to fight in the championship of the northern zone.

Saturday afternoon, the cadets began the competition. Noah Ginioux Zaoui opened hostilities by ranking 2nd in the – 81 kg and thanks to this, he qualified for the French 2nd Division Championship. He paved the way for women for the rest of the day.

Endy Lopez ranks 2nd in – 57 kg, she qualifies for the 2nd Division French Championship and the 1st Division regional championship.

Mia Verdonck New, in – 57 kg, and Lucie Andre, in -70 kg, rank 3rd in their categories and qualify for the 1st division regional championship.

The competition continued on Sunday for the juniors, who followed in the footsteps of their elders. To start the day, Hugo Peyroche and Damien Giometti-Caubel, engaged in – 55 kg, meet in the final of the category after some great fights. Hugo wins against Damien, so they are respectively 1st and 2nd in the category and both qualify for the Occitanie regional cup.

In – 73 kg, Antoine Constant did not deserve. Despite good fights, he does not manage to get on the podium.

To end the day in a good way, Salome Lasson finishes 1st in the category – 63 kg and qualifies for the Occitanie regional cup.

This weekend was crowned with medals for the young fighters of SO Millau Judo. Their trainer Nicolas Da Silva is very proud of its young judokas who have shown determination, desire and cohesion. Congratulations to all !
