NBA: Magic Johnson castigates the Lakers’ “lack of effort”

NBA legend Magic Johnson slammed the Los Angeles Lakers on social media on Sunday after a humiliating 37-point loss to the Denver Nuggets.

“As Lakers fans, we can accept being outclassed, but we deserve better than a lack of effort and a lack of sense of urgency,” Magic Johnson tweeted to his 5.1 million followers. Jeanie Buss, owner, you deserve better. »

In their third straight loss, the Lakers were beaten 133-96 by the Nuggets on Saturday night, which was the second-biggest loss of superstar LeBron James‘ career.

On Sunday evening, James also sent out a tweet apologizing to Lakers fans.

“#Lakernation, I apologize and promise we will do better,” simply mentioned James, who has 50.6 million followers on Twitter.

Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook acknowledged players need to work harder on the court, but added that Magic Johnson doesn’t get around the team enough to know what’s going on in the locker room. “Teams are playing better than us, it’s as simple as that,” Westbrook reacted.

“Magic is entitled to its opinion. And he’s not there every day. He is not with us every day. He’s not aware of what’s going on internally with us and he’s trying to figure things out,” he added.

  1. Westbrook is part of the problem. He’s shooting lousy, is not consistent, and he doesn’t get everyone involved.

He’s lost some of his touch, and just isn’t and wasn’t worth the money or the trade.

He needs to go, and get someone who can get others involved.

He’s messing up the offense, and has flashes of brilliance here and there, but he’s not worth it anymore.

He needs to go, and the Lakers get someone better.
