“The most epic trailer full of the stars that will be at the break of Super Bowl LVI has arrived”. This is how the NFL announced, hand in hand with its main sponsor, Pepsi, the show that will take place at halftime of the next Super Bowl, to be held at SoFi Stadium, just outside Los Angeles.
A group of rap and hip hop stars will be in charge of the show, which will be called ‘The Call’ and who appear in the 3+ minute video, directed by F. Gary Gray, director of Straight Outta Compton.
From Eminem to Slim Shady, who appear in a particular battle of cocks, to Mary J. Blige star in a spectacular trailer with chess moves, vintage cars… with a nod to the 90s.
It will also be the first time that the rest of the Super Bowl brings together five artists on the same stage.
