PRE-MATCH

SANTA CLARA, Calif. –San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is optimistic star defensive end Nick Bosa will be ready for Saturday night’s second-round game against the Green Bay Packers.

Last week against Dallas, Bosa quit in the first half due to a concussion. However, he recovered well and returned to training partially on Wednesday and fully on Thursday.

The 49ers (11-7) left for the hometown Packers (13-4) after practice Thursday.

The defensive end remains an uncertain case, not yet having the green light to take part in the game. Shanahan, however, believes that “it looks good”.

Bosa has two quarterback sacks in three career games against the Packers.

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and linebacker Fred Warner went through every practice this week without a hitch, despite suffering injuries last week. They will participate in Saturday’s match.
