In their search for a new general manager, or a general manager, the Catherine Raîche GM in the NFL?”>Minnesota Vikings asked permission from the Philadelphia Eagles to speak with Quebecer Catherine Raîche last Thursday.
The organization confirmed that it spoke to the Eagles’ vice president of football operations on Monday during a first wave of interviews.
The Vikings also confirmed that they spoke with Tampa Bay Buccaneers vice president of player personnel John Spytek and Cleveland Browns vice president of football operations Kwesi Adofo Mensah.
Raîche had joined the Eagles organization in 2019 as coordinator of player personnel and football operations.
Previously, Raîche worked in the Canadian Football League, notably as assistant to the general manager of the Montreal Alouettes in 2017. She was the football administration coordinator with the Montreal organization from 2015 to 2017. She then worked for two seasons with the Toronto Argonauts as director of football administration before making the jump to the NFL.
The Vikings are looking for a new manager or general manager after firing Rick Spielman on Monday. Head coach Mike Zimmer was also relieved of his duties.
Susan Tose Spencer was the first female general manager in the NFL in 1983.
