ESPN reporters Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington said they received confirmation of the news from multiple sources on Saturday afternoon.

In theory, there remains one year with the contract that the Brady had signed while bringing to Tampa Bay. After the Bucs were eliminated by the Los Angeles Rams last Saturday, the quarterback, however, indicated in an Instagram post that he would take the time to reflect on his future over the next few weeks.

“Right now, all that matters is the gratitude I have for this team and the fans who have supported us throughout the season,” he wrote. This year has been extremely demanding both personally and professionally, and I appreciate everyone who has worked as hard as they can to help this team accomplish so much. »

Brady finished the season atop quarterbacks in passing yards, completions and touchdowns.

More details to come.
