While the play-in stage matches were played last night (Wednesday, January 12th) in the Basketball Champions League, different records were set.

While Hapoel Jerusalem won a very different victory against Prometey, the team’s scorer game in the first quarter also went down in the history of the Basketball Champions League. Jerusalem scored 40 points in the first quarter, becoming the team to score the most points in the first quarter of a Basketball CL game.

Jerusalem also managed to become the team to score the most points in a quarter, along with Ironi Nahariya, who scored 40 points in the second quarter against the Bakken Bears in January 2017.

With this game, Jerusalem has hit 15 or more three-pointers in two of their last three games. The Israeli team had achieved this statistic in only two of their previous 45 matches.

Beşiktaş Icrypex, one of our representatives, has made six or more blocks in four of their last six games with their performance against Hapoel Holon. Beşiktaş had only been able to block six or more three times in their previous 66 matches in the organization.

SIG Strasbourg won their fifth away game, down 10+ points. Only Beşiktaş (7 times) and Lenovo Tenerife and AEK (6 times) are the only teams that have been able to do this in BCL before.

Lavrio Megabolt has eight assists against Nutribullet Treviso, making it the team with the fewest assists in a game this season.

Playing against Pınar Karşıyaka in Lenovo Tenerife, Marcelinho Huertas had 15+ points and 10+ assists in the playoff and play-in stages for the third time. No other player has ever done these stats more than a match before. Huertas also scored his sixth point-assist double-double, two games ahead of his closest rivals in BCL history.

Finally, Adam Ariel broke the BCL career record with 24 points.
