Juventus officially introduced Dusan Vlahovic as their new player. The Old Lady recruited the Serbian striker on a four-year contract.
The news was conveyed by Juventus through its official website, Saturday (29/1/2022) early in the morning WIB. The Turin club brought Vlahovic from Fiorentina for 70 million euros (about Rp 1.1 trillion), plus an additional fee of 11.6 million euros (Rp 186 billion).
“Juventus Football Club announces that it has reached an agreement with the company ACF Fiorentina for the definitive acquisition of registration rights for the player Dusan Vlahovic for a fee of 70 million euros, payable over three years,” read a Juventus statement.
“In addition there is a solidarity contribution provided by FIFA regulations and an additional fee of a total of 11.6 million euros. Bonuses up to a maximum of 10 million euros are considered in accordance with the increase in achievements,” he continued.
“Juventus and the player have signed an employment contract until June 30, 2026,” read a Juventus statement.
Dusan Vlahovic got the number 7 jersey at Juventus. This number is a legacy of Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Manchester United earlier this season.
Vlahovic was brought in by Juventus thanks to his brilliant performances with Fiorentina. The 21-year-old striker has scored 17 goals in 21 appearances in the Italian league this season and is currently Serie A’s top scorer with Ciro Immobile.
Vlahovic has previously been linked with various European clubs such as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. However, he was reluctant to respond to these offers and chose to join Juventus.
Dusan Vlahovic becomes Juventus’ fifth signing in the 2021/2022 season. Bianconeri in this summer market brought in Mohamed Ihattaren, Kaio Jorge, Moise Kean (loan), and Manuel Locatelli (loan).
