The Côtes-d’Armor Handisport Departmental Committee (CDH22), in partnership with Saint-Brieuc Handisport, is setting up a multisport school in Saint-Brieuc. This novelty will allow young people aged 6 to 14 with physical or sensory disabilities to discover and practice sports every Wednesday afternoon. “Our ambition is to offer several cycles of activities and to transmit our passion and the values specific to sports”, explains Adrien Billion, development officer at CDH22.
Athletics, swimming, archery, etc.
This school will be divided into several cycles of sports discoveries and in-depth studies. The first cycle will be devoted to athletics, at the Halle Maryvonne-Dupureur. It is carried out in partnership with Alizée Lacroix, a teacher of adapted physical activities at Altygo, the heliomarin center in Plérin. The second, after the winter holidays, will be oriented towards swimming, at the Aquabaie swimming pool, with the help of Sabrina Graviou, who specializes in water sports. The third and fourth cycles will be divided between precision sports, such as blowpipe, archery, rifle shooting, and wheelchair basketball. So many disciplines that will allow young people to discover and engage in a sport on a regular basis, throughout the year.
The first class will begin on Wednesday January 26, with three students, at Halle Maryvonne-Dupureur. Registrations are always possible for a subscription of 50 € per year.
