Oscar confirms discussions with FC Barcelona!

Arrived at the head of FC Barcelona last November, Xavi is experiencing a first winter transfer window, to say the least hectic. Between the arrivals of Dani Alves and Ferran Torres, the departure on loan of Philippe Coutinho, the extension of Samuel Umtiti, not to mention the current burning issue concerning the future of Ousmane Dembélé, the Catalan club is unleashing passions. An attractiveness which does not however seem to dampen the ardor of Joan Laporta and Mateu Alemany, who are determined to offer new players to the Catalan coach. As revealed by TNT Sports Brasil in mid-January, the Culés would indeed have positioned themselves on the former Chelsea player who is currently playing in Shanghai in China. Under contract until June 2024, the Brazilian international would thus strengthen the offensive sector of the Blaugranas even if the financial constraint remains significant. In an interview with journalist Marcelo Bechler, the 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder himself admitted that “discussions with FC Barcelona were not over” and that he had to discuss with the club “of many things”. In addition, Oscar made a point of specifying that the biggest obstacle remained the salary cap of the team.
