Panama will host four international baseball showcases in 2022

The events will take place in the cities of Panama and Aguadulce, where prospective players from Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Panama will gather.

A total of four showcase mega-events for prospective youth baseball players will be held in Panama during 2022, as confirmed by the Showcase Top Premium company.

The events, known as showcases in the English language, will take place in the cities of Panama and Aguadulce, where prospective players from Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Panama will gather.

The Operations Manager, Ángel Méndez, confirmed that the events will be held at the Rod Carew National Stadium from March 31 to April 3 and from August 25 to 28, while at the José Remón Cantera Stadium, in Aguadulce, they will be held. from June 27 to 30 and from October 20 to 23.

“Thanks to the success of the first showcase that took place in October of last year, in Aguadulce, we have managed to attract the attention of important academies based in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the Netherlands, with whom we have started conversations to guarantee their participation in the events. showcases of Panama during 2022”, advanced Méndez.

The Showcase Top Premium company organized the first large-scale showcase event in Panama, which attracted the physical presence of 28 representatives of the Major League Baseball (MLB) teams, who sent around 17 zone chiefs and directors.

In said event, it was possible to close the pre-agreements of the young people from Cocles, Juan Diego Rosas, with the team of Los Azulejos de Toronto; and Emmanuel Vargas, with the New York Yankees. “It was a historic event and our mission is to turn the isthmus into the hub of international showcases. That is why we have planned an ambitious calendar of events for 2022”, explained the CEO of Showcase Top Premium, Max Estrada.
