The performance of Persib goalkeepers, especially Teja Paku Alam, this season is quite good. Of the 19 matches that have been played, only 13 have been conceded and 10 games were closed without a goal. Luizinho Passos as the goalkeeping coach also admitted that he was happy with the performance of his team
“Our goalkeeper played well with good saves to help the team. Indeed, that is an example of the big role of a goalkeeper, a goalkeeper at a club as big as Persib,” said the Brazilian in an interview.
However, the number of saves made by the goalkeeper is still too many. If combined, Teja and Muhammad Natshir made a total of 56 saves from 19 matches. Passos said, it would be ideal if the goal was not threatened much but Maung Bandung still got three points.
“But I prefer our goalkeeper to make a few saves but the team gets the three points. I also don’t want to feel overwhelmed when our goalkeepers are at their best and I want this team to win.”
Unfortunately in the match against Bali United yesterday, Persib were forced to their knees. But Passos still gave his appreciation to Teja Paku Alam who performed well under the rule. He has tried hard to keep the team from losing with more goals.
