This woman, born in Puno and 33 years old, was awarded as the Best Female Parabadminton Player of 2020 and 2021 in the country in her WH2 category.
This award, granted by the Peruvian Sports Federation of Badminton, reflects the effort, perseverance and optimism that Pilar Jáuregui demonstrated, not only since the pandemic began, but throughout her life. A bilateral congenital hip dislocation caused him discomfort as a teenager, then he used a cane, until finally he had to walk in a wheelchair.
However, that did not limit her. With the help of her loved ones, she began to train, she was part of the Peruvian wheelchair basketball team that participated in the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games and motivation, for her, began every day.
