Sport and solidarity meet again on the road. The Príncipe Felipe pavilion will be the stage this Sunday, starting at 5:30 p.m., for the second edition of the match ‘Basket against cancer‘, an initiative by Alberto Béjar from Zaragoza, of a charitable nature, which will have numerous incentives. The proceeds will go to reform an area of the Miguel Servet children’s hospital in Zaragoza, and to help children with cancer. The entrance, which has a price of 5.5 euros, will allow you to attend a meeting full of celebrities from inside and outside the world of basketball. The mayor of Zaragoza, Jorge Azcón, will participate in the meeting, as well as the former players Fran Vazquez and Diego Ciorciari, and the former Mann Filter player Carolina Esparcia, in addition to the math specialist Marquie Smith or the ‘street basketball’ athlete Ari Gel.
Likewise, the presence of leo frank, ex-soccer player for Real Zaragoza and the Huesca Sports Society; of the rapper El Chojin; of the model Sofia del Prado; of the television presenter Iñaki Urrutia; of the actress Maria Botto; from the singer Manuel of the Cave; of the councilor Cristina Garcia; and also from ‘youtubers’ and ‘influencers’ known as Flopball, Tiparraco, Vitu, Papi Gavi, Atiga, Outconsumer, Tonimcee, Tresco Ball, Aka Pollito, Sergiiram, Mostopapi or Joel Bosqued, among others, in addition to the Alberto Bejar, the organizer of the event.
In the first edition, held in 2019, almost 13,000 euros were raised. Later, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event could not be played in the two subsequent years. In this edition, aside from the basketball game, there will also be Endesa dances, bracelets and miniballs that will be thrown into the stands, as well as caps and t-shirts. Likewise, a ball signed by the basketball legend Pau Gasol, a Spain shirt signed by the Zaragoza player will be raffled Cristina Ouvina, a Real Madrid jersey signed by the entire squad, a couple of Stadium Casablanca season tickets, two 100-euro NBA Store codes and another two League Pass codes, a sports equipment check from ELK Sports, a Delona bag and a a batch of Cierzo beers, as well as celebrity match shirts and balls signed by their protagonists.
