Playoffs in basketball for the Conade games

After a spectacular somersault, the quintet of Unidos de Chetumal defeated the Titans 44-24, in order to proclaim themselves champions in the 2006-2007 Women’s category, of the municipal eliminatory of Othón P. Blanco, ahead of the Conade 2022 National Games.

In the men’s branch, Unidos de Chetumal defeated the favorite Delfines by 73-54 in the 2006 category and in the 2004-2005 category Delfines defeated Hurricanes 34-16.

The sports dome of Parque del Queso, in the state capital, vibrated on Thursday with a marathon municipal qualifying day, in which the right to represent Othón P. Blanco in the state stage of this year’s Conade National Games was disputed.

Without a doubt, the match that took place that night was the grand final of the 2006-2007 category of the Women’s branch, an instance in which the Titans faced off against the Unidos de Chetumal team, a team made up of players from various city ​​teams, who joined forces against the Titans.

Against all odds, the Titans had a great performance during the first half of the match, in which they took a 17-10 lead, giving a great example of good basketball.

However, the team made up of players from Hurricanes, Phoenix, Alphas, ABC and Mustangs, took charge of the match in the second half and a rain of balls was unleashed on the rival ring, to give a spectacular somersault and take the victory with a final score of 44-24, and thus obtain the right to represent the municipality in this category.

As far as the Men’s branch is concerned, the Unidos de Chetumal team took victory in the 2006 category, defeating the Delfines with a score of 73-53, while the cetaceans took revenge and won the title of the category 2004-2005, after beating the United States with a score of 34-16.

The winning teams of each category will be the base of the municipal teams, and they have the right to integrate players from the other teams to complement the team from Othon that participates in the state phase.
