Torino can move up to the broad sub-top of the Serie A after a win at Sampdoria. Dennis Praet gave the verdict over his ex-team with a header, where the ball actually wrung through the net.

Between 2016 and 2019 Dennis Praet played more than 100 matches for Sampdoria. The ex-midfielder will undoubtedly remember his time in Genoa with nostalgia, but there was no question of sentimental feelings this afternoon.

Praet crowned himself the match winner for Torino with a good header, although it was still a bit of a surprise when the ball ended up behind the goal. The culprit turned out to be a hole in the net.

“I never doubted that the ball had indeed gone in,” Praet said afterwards. “I think it’s the first header goal of my career. That’s not my strong point.”

“I feel better here at Torino, but I think I can still do better. It’s nice to be able to play like this. We play very aggressively and that also brings points.”
