Premier League: Child abuse scandal: Everton pro released again – Football

New details in the case of the Everton star accused of child molestation.

As reported by the English media, the professional was released on bail for the third time yesterday.

The Premier League pro cannot be named in England for legal reasons – although he has been identified in his home country and on global news sites.

Everton said in a statement: “Everton can confirm that a player has been suspended pending the completion of a police investigation. The club will continue to assist the authorities with their investigation and will not be making any further statements at this time.”

The player was arrested in July last year, shortly after which he was suspended by his club. The English media only mention these details: He is said to be a national player in his country, married and a top earner.

Police raided his £2.5million home and confiscated “several items”. He was then arrested again.

The bail period is said to have been extended for the third time, this time until next Wednesday. Then what happens? Not clear!

The bad suspicion shocked not only the public, but also the immediate environment of the player. “It stunned the dressing room,” a source told The Mirror. “Everyone hopes the allegations aren’t true.”
