Time and time again Tom Brady has done it in his career. Even looking down by 24 points, nothing was going to stop him from trying to turn the score around and he was very close to achieving it.
The Rams led the game 27-3 and little by little that double digit was looking more vulnerable and attainable. However, the Rams were able to hold on in the last minute and a half and with a field goal secured a 30-27 victory in the Divisional Round.
Prior to the final touchdown of the game, Matthew Stafford served a spectacular 44-yard pass to Cooper Kupp, who put Matt Gay in ideal position for the game-winning field goal.
But it was Stafford’s performance that put the Rams on the road to victory with his 366 yards that included two touchdowns. The quarterback managed 28 of 38 passes, of which he had an interception.
For his part, the legendary Brady had 30 of 54 completions for 329 yards, which included a touchdown and an interception.
There will be a new champion in the NFL. The Rams made sure of that and they will have a chance to look to be the Bucs’ replacement on the throne in Super Bowl LVI, but first they will face a dangerous San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game. June 30 at SoFi Stadium (5:30 p.m. PT).
In this way we live in an exciting match…
