Rauris training camp relocated to St. Johann – State Judo Association Salzburg

After organizer Riess Rupert had a heavy heart due to the high number of Covid infections, the 38th Int. Had to cancel judo ski days in Rauris, the training camp was relocated to St. Johann at short notice. Top Judokas from all over Austria are expected. In addition, Salzburg management days are held in different age groups. The starting shot is on January 15th!

The “sports area” in the Pongauer Jugendhotel Schlosshof has established itself as a judo venue since the outbreak of the pandemic. Initiated by LV trainer Marianne Niederdorfer, the Austrian Judo Association and the Salzburg State Judo Association as well as other clubs and regional associations regularly use the excellent framework conditions. An important criterion for holding training camps during Corona times, in addition to the generally strict Covid prevention measures, is the remote location outside the town center. All participants move only within the facility and therefore have no contact with anyone outside the judo bubble.

With this Contact problem many organizers of various events fight. With the OTC in Mittersill, the international training camps in Straßwalchen and now Rauris, three traditional January events could not be held on Salzburg soil.
