After two days of competition at the Mexicali Gymnasium, the teams that will be Mexicali’s base in the state stage for the 2004-05 and 2006-07 categories in the men’s and women’s branches were defined. The teams from Liquis, Bachuni, Vikingos and Duke, dominated the Municipal Basketball Qualifiers heading to the CONADE 2022 National Games.
The Vikings team won the Mexicali Casino in double overtime, to take first place in the 2006-07 men’s category; while, in the women’s, it was the Duke team that beat Bachuni 45-30 to dominate the stage.
Friday’s day ended with the match between Bachuni and Duke in the women’s branch, corresponding to the 2004-05 category, in which Bachuni won by a score of 55-22.
In the men’s branch, it was the Liquis team that came out with the victory, after beating the Colegio de las Américas by a score of 79-63.
The state stage towards the CONADE 2022 National Games will be held in the coming weeks with a date and venue to be confirmed.
