Real Madrid are planning the big transfer offensive. The “royal” want to strike by summer at the latest. For that, three stars have to go.
It is no secret that the Spanish capital club, where ÖFB team kicker David Alaba is also under contract, is chasing the two most sought-after strikers in world football. Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland are to be guided to Real. Mbappe already in the summer. Then the French star striker’s contract with Paris St.-Germain expires. According to Real plans, Haaland will be signed by Borussia Dortmund a year later with an exit clause.
Before the “Royal” can hit the transfer market, however, space must be created in the squad, after all, high salary payments would be due for both strikers.
No new contracts for three stars
The contracts of four Real kickers expire at the end of the season. According to a report by “AS”, only midfield engine Luka Modric should receive a new contract with the “Royal”, probably extended for one season. Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Isco therefore have no future with the “Royal”. Your working papers will therefore not be extended.
That’s not surprising, especially with Bale. The Welshman is one of the top earners in the squad but has often struggled with injuries and has only played three league games this season. The winger could end up back in the Premier League. Ex-club Tottenham and youth club Southampton with coach Ralph Hasenhüttl are mentioned as possible candidates.
Isco to Barcelona?
Isco’s club choice could be more exciting. Because the 29-year-old should already agree with Real Eririval Barcelona. Meanwhile, 33-year-old Marcelo is flirting with the end of his career.
The three departures are intended to save salary costs of 60 million euros. Money to be immediately reinvested in Mbappe.
