Řepík is glad that Sparta was successful. Perhaps we will transfer well-being to Sob to the national team, the captain hopes

The result looks clear. Did you really have it that easy?

Certainly not. The home team played well, what we expected from them. However, we had quick, easy goals, and then it turned to our side.

You helped yourself with powerlifting, you also scored in weakening …

Yeah, that was the key. The goal we got, but also fell in a power play. It flew around the gate, Krejča (David Krejčí) can direct it perfectly, suggest it, and we ate it for him. Otherwise, we played a decent outdoor match and we need to follow up on it in the others.

Is it true that with Vladimír Sobotka you will play a duel before leaving for the Olympics?

Yes. After the match with Pardubice, we should join the national team.

You have scored two goals, so the form is probably solid. Do you agree?

We didn’t play on Friday, so I rested and I felt great today. But most of all, I’m glad that we won as a team and our first line was successful, we scored three goals. We have one more match and I hope that then we will transfer the well-being with Sob (Vladimír Sobotka) to the national team.

Already packed and looking forward to it?

Not yet. I only have stuffed things. And tests can also complicate covid tests. I hope we can get through it all and be able to fly away.

The healed Filip Chlapík is also in excellent shape. He also scored two goals, added one assist and jumped to the top of the Canadian scoring competition. Aren’t you sorry he won’t be in Beijing?

It’s a shame. He has a face. He plays really well. However, it is difficult for me to answer, it is more of a question for coaches. Somehow they chose it and I can hardly say anything about it.

Three points from Olomouc moved you up in the table. Did they bring reassurance?

Nothing like that. Of course, we are glad that we won for the second time in a row, but now we have a tough duel with Pardubice, and because we want to continue to rise higher, we also need to manage it. We have a big shift ahead of us, we have about fifteen matches left and there is still a theoretical chance of the first four. However, we have to grab some longer winning streak and see what it will bring us after the 56th round.

But will Sparta now miss two key players, you and Sobotka, because of the Olympics?

It will probably be a complication. On the other hand, we have a wide enough staff to deal with it. Some guys don’t play as much as they’d imagine. Now they will have more space on the ice and I believe they will replace us.
