Robert Johnson, no vax player fired from Cantù

Cantù Basketball, a historic Lombard basketball team that now plays in Serie A2, has decided to separate from the American basketball player Robert Johnson, who has decided not to get vaccinated. The announcement came on Wednesday 19 January. The player will continue the season in Poland at Legia Warsaw.

From 10 January the player could no longer train or play league matches due to the rules that came into force on the reinforced green pass. Johnson has in fact communicated the decision not to be given the vaccine against covid. For Cantù a loss from a sporting point of view: the basketball player, born in 1995 and originally from Indiana in the US, so far ‘grinded’ an average of 19.7 points per game, 4.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
