Robert Quinn and Braxton Berríos, both of Puerto Rican descent, were elected to the NFL All-Star Game

Players of Puerto Rican descent Robert Quinn and Braxton Berríos were selected for the ‘Pro Bowl‘ of the NFL, after his outstanding performances in the regular season.

The ‘Pro Bowl’ is the denomination that receives the game of stars of the NFL.

Berríos was elected to the first team and Quinn to the second.

Quinn, a defensive player for the Chicago Bears, is the brother of Tokyo 2020 Games gold medalist Jasmine Camacho-Quinn and son of Puerto Rican María Milagros Camacho. It is Quinn’s third selection to the ‘Pro Bowl’. He was also selected in 2013 and 2014.

Quinn, 31, shined this season finishing second in sacks with 18.5 in 16 games. He was beaten by Pittsburgh’s TJ Watt at 22.5.

Quinn just completed his 11th season in the NFL. Chicago did not qualify for the postseason.

Berríos, for his part, was elected to the ‘Pro Bowl’ for the first time in ‘special team’. The New York Jets’ kick-return specialist finished third in the league with 852 yards in 16 games.

Berrios, whose father is Puerto Rican, also serves as the Jets’ wide receiver. He is in his third season in the NFL. He is a graduate of the University of Miami.
