Obituary of Roger Alfred Corriveau
CORRIVEAU, ROGER 1943-2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Roger’s passing on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Welland Hospital, at the age of 78 in the loving arms of Diane (Cloutier), his devoted wife and partner in life for 58 years.
Roger will be lovingly remembered by; his sons Yvon (Danielle) and Rick (Carrie), his grandchildren Taggart, Taylor and Hunter, as well as his sister Laurette Gauthier (late Claude), many nieces and nephews, his buddy granddog Fiona and so many others whose lives he touched. Roger was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Blanche Corrriveau and his granddaughter Cierra Laine Corriveau.
Roger worked at the Welland Hospital for over 30 years where he was loved by everyone!
Anyone who knew Rog aka Rambus knew that he was passionate about these things: His Family, Baseball, Hockey, Horse Racing, the Casino and his love for Elvis Presley. He was the most patient, loving and supportive father and grandfather and he never missed a baseball game, hockey game or dance recital! Rog created so many amazing memories and great stories as a coach for Welland Minor Baseball for over 22 years, where he was an inspiration and a role model. If he wasn’t at the ball field, the hockey rink, or at the slots, you could find Rog slapping his program on his hand cheering on his #5 horse at the track.
The WELLAND FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE is honored to be entrusted with Roger’s wishes. If desired donations to the Hospital for Sick Children or the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
