It was defined the soul of Paolo Ferro: Mrs Dora Pisani, 86, known for her life dedicated to volunteering, founder of the center named after her son, passed away this morning.
L’Paolo Ferro pro-disabled non-profit association it is one of the longest-lived volunteer organizations in the area, established in 1990, and since then it has always represented a point of reference for families who have a person with disabilities in their nucleus. Unfortunately, over the years there have been so many difficulties that the center has faced, always overcome thanks to the determination of Mrs. Dora, and the numerous volunteers.
At the end of the 90s, Maestro Piero Guccione donated a lithograph entitled “Il Carrubbo” to the Association. The proceeds from the sale of the work helped keep the association alive for at least a decade. “We are deeply grateful to Piero Guccione who has always shown great sensitivity and interest in our Center, with the humanity typical of a great person before a great artist”, said Dora Pisani, who never stopped thanking him publicly.
In 2013, an initiative promoted by NoveTv was also held at the Cine Teatro Italia in Scicli, a show whose proceeds brought breath to the association’s coffers.
The funeral tomorrow, Saturday 15 January at 10, in the Church of San Giorgio in Donnalucata.
