The badminton regular season in the Interscholastic Sports League (LSI) has come to an end after four tournaments.
Six athletes and three teams were rewarded at the end of this campaign. Spread from November 2018 to February 2019, it included two singles tournaments and two doubles or mixed tournaments.
Within the Beauce-Etchemin School Board (CSBE), Joël Vaillancourt and Anouk Pomerleau got their hands on the banners in the male and female juvenile categories.
They are students at Polyvalente Benoît-Vachon (Sainte-Marie) and Polyvalente des Abénaquis (Saint-Prosper). Rosaline Lapointe, from École des Appalaches in Sainte-Justine, won the youngest female title.
From École Jésus-Marie in Beauceville, Maxime Tremblay (youngest male), Tristan Chouinard (youngest male) and Lydia Morin (youngest female) were the best players in their categories.
In terms of overall point totals, École des Appalaches (youngest), École Jésus-Marie (youngest) and Polyvalente Benoît-Vachon (juvenile) finished first.
Note that the RSEQ regional badminton championship, the last stage of the playoffs, will take place on April 7 in Lévis.
