[스포츠서울 | 김경무전문기자] Ahn Se-young (20, Samsung Life Insurance), who won the World Badminton Federation (BWF) Wangjung Championship last December. He rose to the fourth place in the world rankings by winning three consecutive tournaments, including the Indonesian Open, and showed off his majesty by making his first appearance in the new year’s domestic competition.

On the afternoon of the 15th, the third day of the ‘2022 DB Group Badminton Korean League’ held at Hwado Sports and Culture Center, Hwado-eup, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, Women’s Group B first match. Samsung Life Insurance, led by Director Gil Young-ah, defeated Hwaseong City Hall 3-0 with the performances of Ahn Se-young (single), Lee Yu-rim-Kim Hye-jeong (doubles), and Lee So-yul (single), showing a smooth start to winning the first championship.

Samsung Life Insurance defeated Hwaseong City Hall’s Baek Seung-yeon 2-0 (21-16, 21-11) in the 1st singles, followed by Lee Yu-rim-Kim Hye-jeong and Chae Hee-soo- Choi Ye-jin 2-0 (21- 6, 21-4) and took the victory. Then, in the third single, So-Yul Lee defeated Ho-Yeon Kim 2-0 (21-15, 21-17) to finish the game.

The Korea Badminton League, which started on the 13th, will finish the game for three consecutive days until this day, and start the second week of the next Thursday. Jeonbuk Bank-KGC Ginseng Corporation’s Women’s Group B 2nd match and Yeongdong City Hall-Pocheon City Hall’s Women’s Group B 2nd match are scheduled for 4 p.m. on the same day.
