Despite the MLB work stoppage, Japanese Seiya Suzuki He is still very interested in going to play in the Major Leagues and continues to give statements about the teams whom he would like to go and the players he would like to share a clubhouse with and confront, now it’s time to talk about the pitchers who have surprised him the most and that he would like to face in the Majors, with a big surprise.
On a TV show in Japan with former Japanese Major League pitcher Koji Uehara, Suzuki mentioned the pitchers he’s most intrigued to face once he’s signed in the big leagues.
Obviously you want to face elite pitchers, like Jacob DeGrom, Max Scherzer, Justin Verlander. I made a list in my head of the pitchers I want to face, including the Giants’ submarine pitcher, Tyler Rogers. I wonder how someone can hit him?
The truth is that facing Japanese and American pitchers is very different, since in the NPB it is based more on breaking pitches and with movement to deceive the batter, while in the United States there is more emphasis on power and overwhelming with the speed and force of the throws.
