Seongnam City supports club activities to prevent isolation of single-person households and to help form social networks.
To this end, the city announced on the 13th that it will accept applications for participation in the ‘Let’s play together ~ Seongnam-si single-person household club support project’ by the 9th of next month.
Eligibility for application is a group of single-person households with 4 to 8 Seongnam citizens aged 19 years or older to engage in hobbies, leisure, culture, and volunteer activities.
The club can be formed by forming a group of people with the same interests or by recruiting members using the one-person household community on the Seongnam Welfare eeum site.
The city selects about 30 clubs and pays up to 7 times of activity expenses of up to 30,000 won per member per month during the business period from April to November.
The scope of use of the activity expenses includes lecture fees, material expenses, food expenses, transportation expenses, and cultural activity expenses.
Meanwhile, Seongnam City implemented this project for the first time last year, and Badminton Club (8 people), Seongnam City Exploration Team (8 people), Doojoulsori (5 people), Cook and Baking (5 people), Thingsing Computer (4 people), Seongnam Information Magazine (4 people) Including 18 members of one-person household clubs, 98 members of the club provided an activity fee of 11 million won. Of the total 369,585 households in Seongnam, the number of single-person households is 115,433, which is 31.2%.
