Sorceresses conquer the U18 final of the LBK women’s basketball

Herrera’s Sorceresses had to go to great lengths to maintain their hegemony in the U18 Women’s Kiwanis Basketball League, after beating their similar Crickets VIP from Parque Lefevre by the slightest difference (56/54).

According to statistical data, it was a game full of emotions from start to finish, where Diobelys Batista’s contribution on the court (28 points) allowed him to become the MVP of the championship, while María García with 11 units, 12 rebounds and Grace López with 9 points, 8 rebounds, also contributed.

For their part, Génesis Juárez (20 points/10 rebounds) Jaidy Nieto (13 points/13 rebounds) were the capital’s team’s offensive pillars. The most valuable player of the regular season was Mariangel Concha, of the Hechiceras de Herrera.

According to the organizers, it was a duel full of talent between the two quintets, with ample performance from the magical Diobelys Batista, María García and María Concha, and the good performance of Laili Rentería, Yoshuany Chambers and Lya González for the VIPs.
