Table tennis Sassari: the men’s A2 recovers the match in Torre del Greco

Galvanized by the home success against the Stella del Sud Napoli which earned fourth place in the men’s A2, Tennistavolo Sassari is preparing for the away match on the Asd Torre del Greco field. Sunday at noon the Sassari team plays the first return leg which had been postponed due to a few cases of positivity among the Campania region.
It is a race that can be fundamental for salvation and for maintaining fourth place. The advantage over Campania in the standings is 3 points (with one more race) and winning means earning a practically unbridgeable gap since the Sassari table tennis would also acquire the advantage in head-to-head matches. In fact, the first leg ended in a draw:
3-3. Double success for Marco Poma against Shola Oyetyo and Marco Prosperini, plus victory for Ganiyu Ashimiyu over Oyetyo. At 3-2 for the Sassari, the sixth and decisive match was won in the fifth set by Daniele Sabatino.
Compared to that meeting, a novelty in both trio: Sassari has the Spaniard Adrian Morato, who replaced Marco Sinigaglia, and so far has a balance of 4 games won and 2 lost, while Torre del Greco has Gerardo Palladino (0/4) in place of Daniele Sabatino.
