Table tennis. The French championships at Vendéspace next June. Sport

For three days, the 96 best table tennis players in France will compete in Vendée. Five titles will be awarded: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. “We have entrusted this 92nd edition to the Pays de la Loire league and the Vendée committee, given their know-how in terms of organization with a well-established team and committed partners”, underlines Gilles Erb, the president of the FFTT.

The second time at the Vendéspace

If this is the eighth time that these French championships have been organized in the region, the Vendéspace, in Mouilleron-le-Captif, had already hosted the French elite in 2014. “With this event, we are keen to perpetuate our know-how, explains Stéphane Brochard, president of the Vendée committee. With the Ligue des Pays de Loire, we will organize a broad promotion to make the event and table tennis visible. »

Simon Gauzy and Jia Nan Yuan are announced

The list of participants will be unveiled in the coming months. However, in a press release, the FFTT has already announced that Simon Gauzy, who won his third title, and Jia Nan Yuan, crowned with his sixth national trophy last December, will put their titles on the line and will try to write, a little plus, the history of French table tennis.
