Last weekend, the team from Huelva played the quarterfinals in Ronda against Málaga Evolution, which they won 1-4.
The competition began with the mixed doubles, Iván Cumbreras and Claudia Carrero from Huelva faced Pedro Manuel Gómez and Andrea Gómez, whom they could not face and lost 21-12 in the first set and 21-14 in the second.
As for the women’s doubles, Candela Arcos and Lucía Morán were able to prevail over the Malaga duo formed by Amara Martos and Eva María Perálvarez, winning the two sets by 8-21 and 13-21.
Daniel Carreras and Juan Carlos Cumbreras scored the third point in the light by winning the men’s doubles. They had Andrés Carrera and Miguel Zaura on the other side of the tapestry. The albiazul volantistas won in the first set by 10-21 and in the second by 11-21.
For the individual, Candela Arcos faced Andrea Gómez and Iván Cumbreras faced Pedro Manuel Gómez.
Arcos managed to overcome his rival by winning the match. He won both sets 11-21 and 10-21. For his part, Cumbreras defeated his rival with solvency by 6-21 in the first set and 12-21 in the second.
In this way, the CB IES La Orden B has its place in the semifinal, in which they will face Granada B.
