“Starting against the locals is something that I like, it can set a parameter for us about who we can face in the final instances, saying this with total respect, but it is important that our first pitcher takes us to the final throwing in the semifinal and the second starter who pitches in the final,” said Omar Canizales, executive president of the Mexican Pacific League.
“I want to be champion, I haven’t achieved it before and that’s the goal, we have a very complete team and we aspire to that, to be champions,” said reinforcement Joey Meneses, who for the fifth time will be representing Mexico in this Caribbean fair.
Mexico debuts this Friday against the locals at 6:00 p.m.
