The Grouster – Foundation offers young Grouster talents a financial contribution

The grandparents of Joke Hoekstra, one of the founders of the HVS foundation, lived in this farm near Aldtsjerk. Flint was found in the ground here, hence the name Steenendam.

GROU – Do you live in Grou and are you very good at football, bouncing, skating or another sport? Or do you have a talent for singing, making music or acting? Then you often incur extra costs for training sessions, practice sessions or for your equipment. Then the ‘Hoekstra Viersen’ Steenendam Foundation can give you a financial contribution!
Stichting ‘Hoekstra Viersen’ Steenendam in Grou would like to offer young people from Grou the opportunity to further develop their talent in the field of sports, art, music or singing. Furthermore, it is its aim to stimulate those activities and activities that are important for the quality of the village life of Grou and its inhabitants.
Also in 2021 many competitions and training sessions were canceled due to corona. Fortunately, this has not stopped talents from continuing to train and develop their talent! For example, 18 Grouster young talents received a financial contribution. These are talents in very different fields: sailing, judo, skating, ice hockey, surfing, badminton, rhönrad gymnastics, bouncing, football and playing the piano.
Under the second goal, financial support was given last year to, among others, the Sint Piterkomitee, vv GAVC, the (digital) museum Hert fan Fryslân, the Pikmarruters, IJszeilen Grou, Haakcafé Grou, the UVV, Spotlights and the Grouster Voetbalkamp.
In 2022 it will again be possible to submit an application for financial support. View on stichtinghvs.nl for the possibilities. New applications for a contribution in 2022 must be submitted before 15 February. These applications will be assessed in the second quarter of 2022.
