The Hagelsieb Parra sisters stand out in the state tennis selection – El Heraldo de Chihuahua

Cristina “Cris” Hagelsieb Parra won the absolute titles in the singles and doubles category in the 12-year-old category within the State Tennis Tournament held this weekend, while her sister Regina “Regis” Hegelsieb Parra was a finalist in doubles within the 14-year-old division.

After the call made to be in this tournament, Cristina began the contest by passing “bye” in the first round, to then face Ana Victoria Figueroa in the quarterfinals, whom she defeated convincingly with partials followed by 6- 0 and 6-0 to access the semifinals.

In the match for the pass to the grand final, she faced Ivana Tirado on the court, whom she also defeated in straight sets with identical scores of 6-0 and 6-0. In the grand final match, Cris faced the tennis player from Ciudad Juárez, Dayana Bosnoyan, whom she defeated in consecutive sets of 6-0 and 6-0 to thus claim the individual victory in the tournament.

For her part, her sister Regina, who participates in the 14-year-old category, reached the final in the doubles category partnering with Sara Lilian Chávez Cano, succumbing in the final match against Ximena Gutiérrez and Teporaca Reyes Romero with final partials of 0- 6 and 1-6.

Now, both tennis players from the capital are preparing to participate in the sectional event of the specialty that will take place in March in Tamaulipas, where they hope to have an important performance looking for the first places.
