David Ortíz will be the only representative of the 2022 class to the MLB Hall of Fame. The quality of Ortíz was not only evident in the Major Leagues for 20 seasons, the Dominican also made himself felt with his quality as a hitter in the LIDOM of his country with the Leones del Esgido uniform for 10 seasons.

The legendary Dominican was the RBI leader and co-leader in doubles in the 1999 series in Puerto Rico. He was also the leader in slugging, OPS, bases reached, RBI, co-leader in average and hits connected in the 2003 series in which he won the MVP award. Such numbers allowed Ortiz to be part of the immortals of the Caribbean.
