The striker has always held a special place in the hearts of Molenbeek supporters.
Igor De Camargo only played one year in Molenbeek. In January 2005, he landed at the Machtens stadium where FC Brussels was then playing, coming from Genk. A year later, he signed a contract with Standard. But during these twelve months in Molenbeek, the striker has become the darling of the Machtens stadium. So much so that 17 years later, they all still hope to see him finish his career there.
A dream that is about to come true. Lacking playing time in Mechelen, the Belgian-Brazilian only started four games, when his competitors were absent. The 38-year-old striker therefore requested and obtained authorization from KaVé to negotiate with the Molenbeek club. If the deal is confirmed (which should be the case in the next few hours), it would be in the form of a permanent transfer, Mechelen does not wish to rent his striker whose contract ends at the end of the season.
