Despite the absence of many competitions, the fault of the current situation, Sunday January 16, the Ligue des Hauts de France judo and the Committee of the Somme managed to organize the last national tournament labeled excellence juniors, in Amiens.
Seven Marnavalais were qualified by the Grand Est League. Unfortunately, three of them had to withdraw, either injured or positive for Covid-19. Four were present.
Aloïs Lebel, in – 73 kg, from the hope pole of Metz, was eliminated in the fourth round. Only 1st year juniors, he accumulates the maximum of experience through these competitions.
In – 81 kg, Pierre Marne finished 7th. In the same category, Gwendal Lebel won a beautiful bronze medal, which will allow him to climb the rankings of the national ranking list. Being 18th before the competition, he should move into the top ten to qualify for the French 1st junior division championships in
early March.
In – 100 kg, Igor Goujard also finished 7th. These three judokas are from the France pole in Strasbourg. They will all have achieved a great course given the fairly high level of the tournament, but also following the many sessions carried out at the club and at the pole, during these last somewhat complicated years. Each of them will dispute the
February 12, at the Noue dojo, the Grand Est championships, selective for the French championships which were postponed to January 30 by the Grand Est League.
