The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Sport and Fun Holidays Srl, one of the main Italian tour operators specialized, through the Champions’ Camp brand, in holiday proposals aimed at children and young people, today announced a multi-year partnership to launch the first Nba Basketball School in Italy. The launch of the training program, with events open to players of both genders, will mark the departure of the third NBA Basketball School in Europe.
From 1 to 10 April, Nba Basketball School will arrive in six Italian cities with a series of clinics dedicated to aspiring, young players of both sexes aged 6 to 16: Rome (April 1), Capo d’Orlando (April 3) , Udine (April 5), Treviglio (April 7), Fidenza (April 9) and Bologna (April 10).
Starting in June, players aged 6 to 16 will have the opportunity to participate in the weekly NBA Curriculum Development and Teaching Camps which will be held in Capo d’Orlando (June 13 – 17), Udine (20 – 24 June), Bologna (June 27 – July 1) and Rome (July 4 – 9). The summer program will end with two weeks of Summer camp at Lido degli Scacchi, Ferrara, from 3 to 17 July aimed at young people aged 8 to 17.

Starting in 2023, NBA Basketball School will expand its offering in Italy with clinics and camps in more cities, continuing to offer basketball skills development and education for young players under the guidance of the NBA Basketball School’s technical director and coaching staff. while promoting the values of teamwork, integrity and respect.
The NBA Basketball School program, developed to provide a better understanding of the learning and improvement process for players, as well as parents, coaches and organizations, was launched by the international NBA Basketball Operations department with advice from current or former NBA coaches. , players and player development specialists.
As of 2017, NBA Basketball Schools have opened in Brazil, China, Greece, India, Kuwait, Mexico, Spain, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Uruguay. The program is part of basketball and league development initiatives in Europe and the Middle East which also includes the Jr. NBA, the NBA global youth basketball program for boys and girls that currently includes 82 leagues in 27 countries. Added to this is Basketball Without Borders (BWB), the NBA and FIBA global basketball development program, held 18 times in Europe.
