The numbers of the Miami Heat during the absence of Bam Adebayo

This Friday ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski announced that Miami Heat star center Bam Adebayo plans to return to action next Monday against the Toronto Raptors after a long absence due to torn ligaments in his right hand.

It will be a highly celebrated addition by the team, since in 18 games in the 2021-22 season Bam Adebayo has averages of 18.7 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 32.9 minutes per game.

Many thought the 24-year-old’s prolonged absence would be a devastating blow to the Florida team, but without him on the floor they have 16 wins and 17 losses.

This is largely due to the level shown by rookie Omer Yurtseven, who had averages of 10.3 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.1 steals. An admirable job that made the team led by Erik Spoesltra not feel the absence of its starting center.

With everything and the fact that Adebayo and Jimmy Butler have missed many commitments in the 2021-22 season, Miami is in second place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 26 wins and 15 losses.
